Bethlehem in Galilee

I shall probably be unable to fill you in on all the news while I took this long "vacation" from my site, but first things first. I am now exhibiting in "Bethlehem in Galilee", in a group exhibition called: "My portrait, your portrait and reflections", curated by Dr. Nurit Cederboim.

It amazes me to see how much time has gone by since I last posted here, on my site! Quite a few reasons for that, the first one being the aftereffect of my big exhibition. Next came various family matters which still keep me busier than usual. Vague thoughts about how to upgrade my site also came into it. Yet still life goes on and I should try to keep up with things. My new Showcase has finally come out of the press and it simply looks good. As difficult as it is to relay my Wire Art via the photos, the overall seems to get the idea through. I had to choose between a very light blue as background for the book and a very light purple. The purple looks real good! It is an oversized book which I now take it with me to almost everywhere so I can show my Art instead of explaining it in words...

"To Float between the Wires", my most important exhibition so far, looks really well. Of course I cannot be blamed for objectivity, but still, I do not recall my words. It came out even better than I thought it would and yes, the exhibition is very impressive. Dr. Anton Biederman, the curator, did an excellent job and I can only be saddened by the fact that taking down the exhibition, some of the works will be gone for good, never to see light again. In the meantime, you may enjoy another photo...

"To Float between the Wires", my solo exhibition is now ready. It took 3 days to set it up and finally work is done. Dr. Anton Biederman, Manager and Curator of Hadera Artist House Gallery, has done an amazing job and the exhibition is well worth a visit! Opening is in a week, Sat. evening 20.4.2013

I live in Zoran. A few years back, the government decided we would join Kadima and form a bigger municipality. The idea was to save expenses and there are quite a few downsides to the joining. On the other hand, when a few months ago artists on both municipalities decided to join efforts, a happy group was formed, and in a few weeks we will hold our first exhibition...

A new year has begun with new challenges and new plans. A group exhibition is scheduled for the end of the month, and meanwhile, today, a new webzine, "44 degrees" came online with Contemporary Israeli Artists and their works, (Yours truly represented with three Wire Portraits).
Tami Mike Lauffer, brought this magazine to life and she deserves full credit for it. You may enjoy her work on FB and of course through the Webzine....
