Wire Sculpture and Art accompany us since the dawn of Civilization. Almost as far as history goes we can find evidence of this art form. Egyptians created jewellery with gold wires. Slovakien tinkers spread through Europe this art form as early as the 1600's. The Industrial Revolution almost killed it but the few tinkers still around in the early 20th century, transferred their skills to reknown artists who kept knowledge going. One of the most important sculptors of the 20th century, Alexande Calder, took Wire Art even further by creating the Mobiles.
